What's in the database

You should be able to judge for yourself how much to rely on anything here. This page says plainly what we hold, what we don't promise, and what to do when something looks wrong.

What it contains

Architecture-first opportunities — scholarships, fellowships, internships and co-ops, competitions, research placements, travel and project funding, licensure support and professional development — plus engineering and built-environment opportunities where they genuinely apply to architecture students.

Each record keeps the sponsor, what you receive, who can apply, what you must prepare, any obligation that comes with accepting, the dates for the cycle, and where the facts came from.

What it does not guarantee

  • It is not every opportunity that exists. Coverage grows deliberately, quality first.
  • A sponsor can change rules, amounts or dates at any moment without telling anyone.
  • An eligibility explanation is our reading of the sponsor's published rules, not a decision.
  • Nothing here estimates your chance of winning. We don't publish odds.

Where facts come from

Sponsor pages and official documents come first, then structured public datasets, then schools, firms and regional sources. Every record names its source and the date we last checked it. When two sources disagree, we show both readings and mark the record as conflicting rather than quietly picking one.

How current it is

Records carry a last-checked date and a status: confirmed, estimated, rolling, or unknown. Anything we could not confirm says so in words on the record itself — we never dress an estimate up as a fact.

Safety: how to spot a bad listing

Real funding does not work like this. Treat any of the following as a warning:

  • An application fee, deposit, or "processing" payment.
  • A request for a bank account, card, or Social Security number to "release" an award.
  • A guaranteed award, or a prize for an application you never submitted.
  • No sponsor identity, no real contact route, or pressure to decide within hours.

We remove listings that show these signals. If one slips through, report it — the report button is on every opportunity page.

What this costs

ArchMyWay is free to use. There is no subscription required and no paid tier gates any feature. An account is free and exists so your saved list, applications and matching answers follow you between devices.

The free version shows non-personalized ads on opportunity listings and opportunity pages — never on your profile, questionnaire, vault, applications, sign-in or settings. If you'd rather not see them, ArchMyWay Ad-Free removes every ad for $1.99 a month or $14.99 a year; every feature works the same with or without it.

Sponsors set their own rules and may charge their own fees — we flag any listing that asks you to pay to apply, and we never take a share of an award.

Why we ask certain questions

Profile questions exist only to explain eligibility. Sensitive answers are optional, stay private, never appear in analytics, and are never required to browse. Skipping a question just leaves the matching explanation saying "needs info".

How to report an error

Open any opportunity and use “Report a problem”. Wrong deadline, closed program, broken link, changed amount, unclear eligibility, or a scam — all of it routes to human review, and the record shows when it was last touched.
