Methodology & freshness
We would rather show you an honest gap than a confident guess. Here's exactly what our labels mean.
Verification states
- Verified against the official source
- A reviewer confirmed the details against the sponsor's own page, and we show the date.
- Not yet verified
- We found the record but haven't confirmed it against the official source yet.
- Source not checked recently
- It was verified once, but not recently enough for us to vouch for it today.
- Source wording is ambiguous
- The sponsor's wording can be read more than one way, so we don't force a single reading.
- Sources disagree
- Two sources disagree. We show that instead of picking a winner.
Deadline precision
- Exact dates come from the sponsor.
- Month-level or quarter-level dates are shown at that precision, not narrowed to a day.
- Estimated dates from previous cycles are labeled as estimates.
- Rolling programs say "rolling" rather than displaying an invented date.
- When nothing is published, we say so.
What matching means
Matching compares your profile against published criteria and explains each requirement. It is never a prediction of whether you'll win, and it is never the sponsor's decision.
- Meets stated requirements
- Every requirement we can check against your profile is met.
- Likely a match
- All hard requirements are met; some softer preferences are unconfirmed.
- Possibly a match
- You may qualify, but the sponsor's wording leaves room for interpretation.
- Needs more from you
- We need one or more profile details before we can assess this.
- Likely not a match
- At least one requirement appears unmet based on what you've told us.
- Does not meet a requirement
- A stated hard requirement is not met.
- Eligibility unclear
- The sponsor's published requirements are ambiguous or conflicting.
Reporting a problem
Every opportunity page has a report button. Reports go into a human review queue and are checked against the official source before anything changes.
Money and ranking
No one can pay to be included, to rank higher, to change a match or to change a verification state. Anything paid for is labelled in words. How ArchMyWay is funded.
